Command Zone

Casual pods, competitive events, Two-Headed Giant, precon events, and on-demand Commander Drafts

Command Zone

Admission to the public areas of the event venue is free. A Three-Day Pass or Three-Day VIP Pass is required to enter the Command Zone. Entry fees for individual Commander events do not include Command Zone admission.

Four-player casual Commander play will be available throughout all three days, from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1. Players may form pods at any time in the Command Zone.

Casual Play Brackets

Before joining a pod, discuss your deck's primary strategy, expected pace, and use of infinite combos, fast mana, or high-powered tutors. On-site matchmaking follows the Commander Brackets framework: Bracket 1 (Exhibition), Bracket 2 (Core), Bracket 3 (Upgraded), and Bracket 4 (Optimized). Bracket 5 (cEDH) is seated separately from casual pods. Make sure everyone at the table agrees on expectations before play begins; venue signage and staff instructions take precedence.

Three-Day Pass

Duel Commander 3v3 Team Event

The event begins Friday, October 30 at 13:00. Entry is 60 Event Vouchers per player, and the event will be run at Regular REL.

Each participant will receive one Lunar Year of the Horse foil Calamity, Galloping Inferno promo.

Registration is open through the team registration form. Provide the Wizards Account for each team member and arrive at least 30 minutes before the event begins. Players without a team may form one at the venue. Deck Construction & Matches

  1. Each of the three decks must have a different commander, and there may not be a single color shared across the color identities of all three decks.
  2. Other construction rules are TBA.
  3. Player numbers and seat assignments are locked when decks are registered. Teams must choose an appropriate name before the event.

Each player is assigned to seat A, B, or C for the entire event. Players in matching seats play best-of-three matches. The number of Swiss rounds will be based on attendance, and final standings will be determined directly from the Swiss rounds.

Prizes

With 8 teams: 1st receives 540 Prize Wall Vouchers; 2nd receives 420; 3rd-4th receive 240 per team. Prize awards scale with attendance.

Duel Commander 1v1

The event begins Saturday, October 31 at 11:00. Entry is 100 Event Vouchers, and the event will be run at Regular REL.

Provide the email address associated with your Wizards Account. Registration is open through MTGso. Registration closes 15 minutes before the event begins. Event Vouchers are accepted; on-site payment will open shortly before the event. Players paying with vouchers must complete payment and check-in at the judge station. No decklist is required before play begins. Top finishers must submit a decklist after the event for coverage. Swiss rounds will be followed by a timed Top 8 single-elimination playoff. The current Duel Commander banned list applies.

Competitive Commander (cEDH)

The event begins Saturday, October 31 at 10:30. Entry is 80 Event Vouchers, and the event will be run at Regular REL. Each participant will receive one Lunar Year of the Horse foil Calamity, Galloping Inferno promo.

Pairings and results will be managed through Command Tower. Swiss rounds will be followed by a Top 16 single-elimination playoff; if attendance is below 32 players, only the Top 4 will advance. Pods will normally consist of four players. A sole winner earns 5 points, a draw earns 1 point, and a loss earns 0 points. Tiebreakers are determined by the pairing software, and the official banned list applies.

Prizes

  • Champion: 3,000 Prize Wall Vouchers + oversized PVC card
  • 2nd-4th: 500 each; 5th-16th: 200 each

Two-Headed Giant

The event begins Sunday, November 1 at 11:00. Entry is CNY 80 per team or the equivalent in Event Vouchers. The event consists of three rounds.

Marvel Super Heroes (MSH) Commander Precon Event

This event will be available Sunday, November 1 from 11:00 to 16:00. Entry is CNY 460 per player or the equivalent in Event Vouchers. Each player receives one randomly assigned MSH Commander preconstructed deck and uses it for the event.

Register on site. A valid Command Zone pass is also required for entry.

  • Champion: one Lunar Year of the Horse foil Plains promo
  • All other players: 100 Prize Wall Vouchers each

Secrets of Strixhaven (SOS) Commander Precon Event

This event will be available Sunday, November 1 from 11:00 to 16:00. Entry is CNY 480 per player or the equivalent in Event Vouchers. Each player receives one randomly assigned SOS Commander preconstructed deck and uses it for the event.

Registration

Register on site. A valid Command Zone pass is also required for entry.

Prizes

  • Champion: the SOS Commander preconstructed deck not selected for that pod
  • All other players: 100 Prize Wall Vouchers each

Commander Masters (CMM) On-Demand Commander Draft

Available throughout all three days, October 30-November 1, 2026. Each draft fires when eight players are ready.

Entry: CNY 300 per player. Each player drafts three Commander Masters Draft Boosters. After drafting, players split into two four-player pods. The last player remaining in each pod wins.

Registration Information

Prizes

  • Winner of each pod: CNY 180 in Prize Wall Vouchers.
  • Each other player: CNY 20 in Prize Wall Vouchers.

Commander Masters Draft Rules

  1. Pick two cards at a time. Each player starts at 40 life.
  2. Your deck must contain at least 60 cards, including your commander or commanders, and must follow their color identity restrictions. You may include more than one copy of a card.
  3. All monocolored legendary creatures have partner. You may have two commanders if both have partner.
  4. You may attack multiple opponents in the same combat. The last player remaining wins.
  5. All eight players draft together, then split into two four-player pods. Each pod has one winner.

Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate (CLB) On-Demand Commander Draft

Available throughout all three days, October 30-November 1, 2026. Each draft fires when eight players are ready.

Entry: CNY 100 per player. Each player drafts three Chinese-language Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate Draft Boosters. This is a casual Commander Draft event. After drafting, players split into two four-player pods. The last player remaining in each pod wins.
